Recalling unisons among Tibetans

Recounting 128 Tibetan lives across the world alighted themselves into the fire selflessly protesting against repressive iron fist policy of Chinese Communist regime on undefended Tibetans in Tibet, it is hard to bear counting lives in fires while I am comfortably in free world. However, it is consequential obligated to narrate unbearable pains that every Tibetans in Tibet force to undergo. It was my duty to reiterate their clear motive of being offering lives for Tibet.

In the disclosure of the account of testament of 128 self-immolators, repeated personal wishful message left behind underscores the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama to uphold his profound legacy to embrace his love and compassion to Tibetans in Tibet and logically to Chinese citizens as well.

Historically Tibet was disintegrated and did not have sporadic unanimous alliances among Central Tibet, Lhasa and rest of Amdo and Khampa province before Peoples Liberation Army annexed the whole Tibet in 1959. I am of my personal feeling that the notes of legacy that most of the martyrs pointed the need of “unison” among Tibetans, despite being proved in the call of massive political mass eruption in 2008. Recalling Pawo Jample Yeshi and similar lines of Sopa Renpoche decidedly appeals Tibetan to be remained united which often lacks among Tibetans in exile.

The stern policy of Chinese government deliberately in “restive” Tibet Autonomous Region reintroduced numerous regressive policies including patriotic re-education ; undergoing Tibetans to change their ideological loyalty to Communist Party, forceful denouncing to H.H the Dalai Lama building tremendous religious sentiment specially among monastic Tibetans though it hurts other Tibetans. The policy also shades out a sense of Tibetanness by implementing Mandarin as the classical Chinese citizens language and removed Tibetan Language from the main course. It is my personal inclination that Serta (the biggest Tibetan religious centre where number of trained in Tibetan language and Buddhist scholars study) bounded Abbots started free tuition training to young Tibetans in different parts of Tibet since some years. Yet another policy was announced by Chinese government banning all the centres and accused that those Abbots did not have proper training and experience, thus cut of the opportunities that attaining teacher training certificate was mandatory which is impossible for monks.

Moreover, in area of restive cites of TAR, the deployment of Chinese police and planting spies among Tibetan by Chinese government often leads to psychologically and environmentally disturbances and builds a strong hatred and suffocating Tibetans, which often feel that Tibetans choose the last resort.

Chinese government criticism against Tibetans in diaspora “instigating” Tibetans to jump into the fire and often cited as “Dalai Clique” rounded flopped and largely being viewed among international audience that accusation didn’t have weightage.

Critics may be eloquently drawn differently but the method of self-immolation does not have any difference from what Mahatma Gandhi chose to bring down British.

We are losing our ground : Tibetan Struggle

However, the story reeling backside of the GCM might have different shameful truth that nobody might have covered. Being the spectator of the game should hold another extra responsibility to let it be outward – flaws being folded into. Developing the story of grand finale of GCM, a boy named Nangsel hailed from Kathmandu defending against his opponent – Clemen Town  team and fell down on the ground in close jostle and a gentleman cheering from Clemen Town jumped inside and over Nangsel and kicked openly. Right before that Number 9 player of Clemen Town team punched Norbu the best scorer of tournament and crushed his hand by barely walking over. The fight was not over even after the tournament, civilians from the same community were heard to be attacking the same boy – Norbu. The GCM historically holds no unity and sportive sense among Tibetans.

Scrolling down from the farthest memory of my life in India, somewhere Tibetans vow to stand united and integrated in same faith, but we often forget some dangerous things that are incepted in our community. We proved nothing much!

In my personal judgement, it is crucial to accept some realities, which in turn, bombard our unshaking faith of returning to Tibet. Gauging deep down to root of communal crises – Tibetan Buddhist community controversies are comprised of bipolar – between Shugden and rest of sects but I think it is deeper and weighing equal and worst impacts jeopardising the future of Tibetans, because westernization of Tibetan Buddhism promoted by the noble laureate H.H the Dalai Lama played a significant role in gaining sympathises and often empathised many followers. In nutshell, Buddhism in Tibetan community has always being intertwined with it politics and communal sense prevailing in Tibetan society is unbearable whether like or not to know.

If Tibetans are allowed to register on non-provincial and non-religious sectorial base, I would be first one. I believe that it would be accomplishable if we strive to.

After second year of bachelor degree, I went to Bodh Gyaya for pilgrim; I was closely observing internal debate on fundamental concept of Tibetan Buddhism based on different sects and two Karmapas – the second or third highest rank after the Dalai Lama. There were essays on ideological difference between Kagyu and Gelog. Some essays fundamentally underscore the conversion of Kagyu to Gelog to make the path of Tibetan Buddhism lineage for longer time though nobody believes its discontinuation. Debates may not have immediate rift but it marks a serious concern in long run.

China believes that Tibetan struggle would be vanished after the demise of the Dalai Lama. China always concerns about the empowerment of His Holiness in his outreach to western countries and his current and future status (the next Dalai Lama), thereby, offered resuming dialogue with the representative of H H the Dalai Lama not to Lobsang Sangyal counterpart.

I think that the stronghold of present united (looked) Tibetan Buddhist sects are upheld with HIS presence and the future of Dalai Lama and Karmapa would be important issue that we Tibetans must sensitise now.

On other hand,  when Gendun Choekyi Nyama, the eleventh lineage of Penchen Lama – the second highest after Dalai Lama was abducted and missing till now and Karmapa is in controversial.

Orgen Thinly Dorjee, Karmapa recognized by Tai Situ Rinpoche, who claimed that he had letter foretold by the previous Karmapa about his search of the Karmapa living in Dharamsala. However, late Shamar Rinpoche picked up another boy – Thaye Dorjee as the seventh Karmapa. Though both side can reach to better consolidated position where a concept of Tulku can be multiple Tulkus : Tulku, lungku, Thugku. But nothing has accomplished in the fate of Karmapa.

It would be unimaginable in the future of Tibet, unfortunately if circumstance raise about the health of Dalai Lama.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama explicitly asserted the need of  unity and non sectarian society among Tibetans, during his conferring 33th Kalachakra in Ladakh.

It would be a deadened and tired topic raising in the terms of Choka-Chuluk ( provincial basis). We talked about it tiredness but nothing has changed and it gave good ground for China to disintegrate Tibetan struggle Smith´ering into pieces and groundless. We witnessed Chitoe fights in some years back and numerous other encountering shameful dissertations. We also witness corruption cases. We witnessed ugly fighting for position based on provincial and religious. One of the recent public talks of Penpa Tsering, speaker of Tibetan Parliamentary said vividly that there was substantial development in the matter but convicted that the attachment of provincial and its crises are very much alive in the community.

Putting myself as a worthless activist shouting from a small corner of Tibetan activists, I witnessed quite number of Indian friends raising voices for Tibetans. Some days back I met Rashi Jauri of SFT. I quietly said “how do you observe Tibetan struggle”, she turned and said Tibetan struggle happens only on tenth march. Though many things happen quite sometimes but I have the same feeling that nothing much happen outskirt of Dharamsala.

DO WE NEED ANOTHER 2008 ? ……………………………………….
